Instruction process.
-
Initial consultation
A free twenty-minute telephone consultation with a partner to understand the matter and confirm whether the firm is able to assist.
-
Engagement letter
A written engagement letter setting out the scope of work, the deliverables, the fee basis and the responsible solicitor.
-
Conduct of the matter
The matter is conducted by a named solicitor, who acts as the primary point of contact throughout the instruction.
-
Closure
On completion, a closing letter is issued together with any documents and correspondence required for the business's records.
Fees.
The firm works on a fixed-fee basis wherever the scope of the matter can be defined at the point of instruction. For contested or open-ended matters, fees are charged on an hourly basis at the rates set out in the Terms of Business, and a written estimate is provided before any chargeable work is undertaken. An initial twenty-minute consultation is provided without charge for all new enquiries.
Common questions.
-
How quickly can you take on a new matter?
Most new instructions commence within three working days of the engagement letter being signed. Urgent matters are accommodated where capacity allows, subject to confirmation on the initial consultation.
-
Do you work outside London?
The firm advises clients across England and Wales. Matters are conducted remotely by telephone, video call and email. Attendance at a client's premises is arranged where the matter requires it.
-
Can you give fixed fees for tribunal defence?
Fixed-stage fees are offered for tribunal matters where the scope at each stage can be defined in advance. For contested hearings the fee for each stage is set out in writing before that stage of the work begins.

Are you regulated?
